A new Ukrainian control station could put five first-person view (FPV) drones under the control of a single soldier.

The “Hydra Predator Reboff” from Kyiv-based 3DTech is designed to coordinate drone launches, allowing operators to rapidly switch control between connected aircraft during high-intensity combat.

Operators can also monitor live video feeds from all five drones on a single screen, giving them a shared view of the aircraft during operations.

The ground control station (GCS) is housed in a rugged case and features a 19-inch (48-centimeter) monitor, an Intel Core i5-based processor, 16 gigabytes (GB) of RAM, and 256 GB of solid-state storage.

It can run on a standard 6S battery, while a digital transceiver provides a communications range of more than 80 kilometers (50 miles).

A Hailo-8 AI processor assists with target detection. 3DTech also said Hydra Predator Reboff can integrate with Ukraine’s Delta situational awareness system and Vezha streaming platform.

More Than a Control Station

Beyond the GCS, the Hydra Predator Reboff package includes optical testing equipment, spare drone components such as propellers and battery mounting straps, and a basic tool kit.

Operators can control the connected drones directly from the GCS or from a remote position.

The GCS can also continuously monitor the quality of the fiber-optic communication link during operations, helping ensure the drone signal remains stable.

According to the company, Hydra Predator Reboff is now available through Ukraine’s DOT-Chain and Brave1 marketplace platforms.
