Israeli’s Omnisys is aiming to flip the script on counter-drone defense, moving from the traditional reactive response to a more proactive approach that anticipates threats before they strike.

To support that shift, the company’s Battle Resource Optimization (BRO) suite is getting a next-gen upgrade: a counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) mission planning platform built to outthink hostile drones.

The new system uses advanced modeling and optimization tools to map likely attack routes, boosting mission effectiveness against small drones, first-person view (FPV) systems, and loitering munitions.

It also helps optimize existing C-UAS assets, ensuring each sensor, jammer, and interceptor is positioned for maximum impact.

BRO C-UAS leverages a digital twin of the battlespace to identify gaps in coverage caused by terrain or infrastructure, helping commanders prioritize critical sites.

AI-Driven Optimization

At the center of the new counter-drone system is an AI engine that gives commanders the insight to tackle complex and fast-moving drone threats.

It evaluates alternative deployment options and operational concepts, generating recommended courses of action that improve coverage and interception odds.

The engine also helps model friendly and adversary behavior, operational constraints, and likely enemy moves — all without taking over real-time command-and-control systems.

Designed to avoid vendor lock-in, BRO C-UAS lets operators simulate diverse sensor and effector mixes and test against both known or generic hostile drone threats.

This gives forces a smarter, more adaptable defense against the next generation of aerial threats.
