INEOS Automotive has reinvented its rugged Grenadier 4×4 as an armored military vehicle built to withstand bullets, shell fragments, and battlefield blasts.
Known as the Enhanced Protection Vehicle (EPV), its defining feature is a purpose-built armored cabin that reportedly meets NATO STANAG Level 2 protection requirements.
Unlike vehicles fitted with conventional bolt-on armor, the EPV integrates its protective cabin into the design to improve crew survivability.

Further specifications remain undisclosed, but available imagery suggests the vehicle features a fully enclosed metal body, an engine-air-intake snorkel, and a recovery winch integrated into the front bumper.
INEOS is positioning the EPV as a potential replacement for the Land Rover and Pinzgauer platforms under the UK Ministry of Defence’s Light Mobility Vehicle program.
The company will display the EPV Grenadier at the British Army’s DVD 2026 event on September 16 and 17, alongside its General-Purpose Vehicle and Multi-Role Light Vehicle variants.
Team Grenadier Expands
The announcement also adds Hobson Industries Ltd and TVS Supply Chain Solutions to Team Grenadier, an industrial partnership established by INEOS Automotive, SMT Defence, and NMS UK.
Hobson Industries brings experience in vehicle reconditioning, fleet renovation, and end-of-life support for defense programs.

TVS Supply Chain Solutions will contribute its expertise in parts management and global supply chain operations for defense organizations.
“Both Hobsons and TVS SCS bring considerable military understanding, commercial best practice, and proven programme delivery to the Team Grenadier consortium,” said Mike Whittington, chief commercial officer of INEOS Automotive.
“Together we can deliver … in-service support required by the MoD throughout the operational lifetime of the Grenadiers, while backing domestic industry and creating and supporting UK jobs.”
