A new heavy unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) concept from Finnish firm Patria and Germany’s RENK Group took the spotlight at Eurosatory 2026, pushing modular tracked systems into the unmanned era.
The concept combines the TRACKX platform with HSWL 076 transmission and a drive-by-wire mobility architecture.
While full specifications have not been disclosed, imagery suggests a tracked configuration designed for all-terrain mobility.
Mounted on top is a remote weapon station from Arnold Defense, extending the platform’s ability to engage targets while keeping operators at a distance.

The primary armament appears to be a multi-tube rocket pod, potentially configured for 70mm laser-guided rockets for standoff engagements against a range of targets.
A rear-mounted antenna array is also visible, likely supporting high-bandwidth, low-latency communications required for remote control and digital vehicle systems.

“Together with Patria, we are demonstrating how European defence cooperation can rapidly translate innovation into scalable and future-ready unmanned ground capabilities.”
The Base Platform
TRACKX is an all-terrain vehicle developed by Patria for operations in demanding environments, including snow, forests, roads, and water.
It measures 7.3 meters (23.9 feet) in length and 2.95 meters (9.7 feet) in width, with a maximum weight of up to 15.5 tons (14,061 kilograms).

The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 80 kilometers (50 miles) per hour and traverse water at up to four kilometers (2.5 miles) per hour.
In its armored personnel carrier configuration, TRACKX can be operated by a crew of two and carry up to 10 personnel.
These characteristics provide the capacity needed to mount heavier systems, including remote weapon stations and mission payloads, in the UGV configuration.
