The US has taken its Hammer of the Gods electronic warfare (EW) system through its first live sea trial, validating the platform’s performance in challenging maritime conditions.
Conducted this month as part of Project Convergence Capstone 6 at Fort Irwin, California, the test brought together the US Army, US Navy, and US Space Force.
During the event, Hammer of the Gods successfully demonstrated its counter-positioning, navigation, and timing (Counter-PNT) capabilities.

The trial also showed the system could be deployed, controlled, and recovered in a real-world environment while extending its operational reach through mesh networking.
“Understanding how to protect and operate through PNT disruption ensures our forces can continue to shoot, move, and communicate effectively,” said Lt. Col. Darin Hall, chief of modeling, simulation, and integration at US Space Forces Pacific.
“Without PNT data, modern weapon precision drops sharply, resulting in delayed missions, missed objectives, or severe collateral damage.”
Breaking the GPS Advantage
Designed to broadcast electromagnetic signals, Hammer of the Gods is a portable EW system that provides command-and-control capabilities while minimizing its own electromagnetic signature.
Its low-signature design makes the platform harder to detect while enabling multi-domain effects at the tactical edge.

The system can interfere with the PNT data supporting precision-guided weapons, including long-range artillery, guided missiles, and cruise missiles.
By disrupting those signals, it can degrade targeting accuracy and make successful strikes significantly more difficult.
