Polaris Government and Defense has introduced two military snowmobile models built with enhanced capabilities for sub-zero conditions.

Powered by the 850 Patriot engine, the 2026 Military 850 TITAN 155 arctic workhorse vehicle features 25 percent more torque and power than its predecessor, the 2025 Military 650 TITAN 155

Meanwhile, the lightweight 2026 Military 850 RMK 155 is optimized for deep snow and off-trail patrol and reconnaissance operations.

Similarities

Like their earlier variants, both snowmobiles have white body panels for camouflage and can activate blackout mode, using infrared lighting for visibility.

Operators maneuver the vehicles using a handlebar with a mountain hoop for improved ride angle and control, and can charge handheld electronics and mission equipment using the snowmobile’s 12-voltage outlets.

In addition, each snowmobile has a power-boosting regulator that “automatically provides maximum electrical power” to support added accessories.

“Arctic mobility is demanding, and no one knows this terrain better than Polaris, having produced snowmobiles for more than 70 years, and driving innovation in these capable platforms ever since,” said company VP Nick Francis.

“Polaris military snowmobiles and tactical vehicles allow operators to move further and faster in critical arctic and mountainous snow-covered environments and execute critical missions with confidence and efficiency.”

2026 Military 850 TITAN 155

A utility snowmobile on- and off-trail, the two-seater 2026 Military 850 TITAN 155 can carry 125 pounds (56 kilograms) of additional cargo and tow up to 1,200 pounds (544 kilograms) of supplies.

It also comes with a 30-gallon utility box and an optional winch that provides 1,500 pounds (680 kilograms) of capacity for vehicle recovery, clearing paths, or retrieving stuck equipment in extreme winter conditions.

The 850 TITAN excels in deep and uneven terrain, thanks to its BackTrak20 suspension, 20-inch (50-centimeter) wide Cobra track, and Trailbreaker skis.

The articulating rail and removable rear snowflap further enhance maneuverability.

To maintain optimal engine temperature, the snowmobile is equipped with a cooling system and radiator.

2026 Military 850 RMK 155

While the 850 TITAN is made for heavy-duty and logistical tasks, the agile 2026 Military 850 RMK 155 is suitable for tactical operations in tough terrain.

The single-person vehicle comes with an extended track and tapered tunnel to help it perform continuously in deep snow, while its full-length cooler keeps the engine running smoothly even in harsh conditions.

The 850 RMK is also optimized for higher altitudes, featuring Walker Evans Racing Velocity shocks to accommodate different riders and gear.
