The first Linza 3.0 drone built through the German–Ukraine partnership has finally come off the production line, signaling a leap in Ukraine’s AI-driven battlefield tech.

Developed by Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI), the attack platform features an AI-powered visual-inertial navigation module for precise autonomous flight in frontline conditions.

It is built with a 12-inch (30‑centimeter) airframe, carries 4 kilograms (8.8 pounds) of payload, and can cover 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) in 60 minutes.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently toured QFI with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, observing the demonstration and handover of the first German‑Ukrainian Linza 3.0 drone.

“This is modern Ukrainian technology,” Zelensky wrote on X. “Battle-tested. Powered by AI. It will strike, it will scout, it will protect our soldiers.”

Meeting Combat Demands

QFI Chief Business Development Officer Mykyta Rozhkov said the first Linza 3.0 produced by the German–Ukrainian joint venture reflects months of work by Ukrainian engineers and international partners.

The drone, built from frontline experience, also illustrates the “rapid progress of our joint venture and the way it strengthens long-term cooperation between our countries.”

Ukraine’s partnership with QFI is projected to enable production of over 10,000 drones per year for Kyiv’s forces.

QFI Managing Director Matthias Lehna noted that early-stage production began in December and that automation will help the company meet growing battlefield demands.

“We are proud to be a flagship company for Ukrainian-German industrial cooperation and proud to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the best technology of both countries,” Lehna added.
