Dispersed ground forces can stay connected in real time across challenging terrain with Elbit Systems Sweden’s Tactical High Mobility Shelter (THMS), a mobile communications and sensing node designed to keep pace with maneuvering units.
The THMS extends both line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight connectivity across dispersed formations, while its modular design can accommodate payloads weighing up to 100 kilograms (220 pounds).
It can integrate electronic warfare systems, surveillance and observation technologies, electro-optical and infrared sensors, satellite communications, 5G networks, and high-power lasers.

An automated telescopic mast extends up to 25 meters (82 feet), with an automatic guying system allowing the THMS to be deployed in less than five minutes.
Compatible with tracked and wheeled vehicles, the platform can operate as a self-contained unit for up to 24 hours using its integrated power generation system.
THMS is also designed to operate in demanding environments, including extreme weather and Arctic conditions.
Solving Connectivity Challenges
The unveiling comes as land forces face growing demands to maintain communications, situational awareness, and coordination while operating across rapidly changing environments.
According to Elbit Systems Sweden, reliance on fixed infrastructure and static command posts can limit forces’ flexibility while making them more vulnerable to attack.

The THMS is positioned to address this by extending connectivity and maintaining communications as forces maneuver.

“THMS provides a flexible and rapidly deployable platform designed to extend battlefield connectivity and support next-generation digitalized land operations.”
The THMS will be showcased at DALO Industry Days 2026 in Denmark.
