Aitech has rolled out the C165, a rugged single-board computer (SBC) built to upgrade military computing systems already deployed across air, land, and naval platforms.

Powered by an Intel Core i7-1185GRE Tiger Lake UP3 processor, the board supports up to 32 gigabytes of memory and 4 terabytes of storage.

It also features integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, which the company said delivers higher computing and graphics performance than its previous-generation systems.

For cybersecurity, the C165 incorporates Aitech’s AiSecure framework, including TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, Intel Boot Guard, encrypted storage, and secure-erase capabilities.

The board also accepts smaller add-on modules that can expand its functionality and input/output connections as operational requirements evolve.

This flexibility allows it to support demanding workloads such as mission computing, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance processing, video analytics, and sensor-driven applications.

The C165 is available in air- and conduction-cooled variants.

Modernizing Legacy Systems

The release comes as military programs face growing pressure to improve performance, strengthen cybersecurity, and replace obsolete components.

Aitech aims to address these challenges with a device that can modernize existing systems, extend platform life, and accelerate technology upgrades without requiring a new computing architecture.

The company said the C165 supports the modernization and long-term sustainment of mission-critical systems.

“As a pin-compatible successor to Aitech’s C164 and C163 SBCs, the C165 provides an efficient upgrade path that helps customers manage technology obsolescence while preserving past investments in qualified hardware, software, and platform infrastructure,” the company stated.

The board made its public debut at the Air, Space & Cyber Conference in National Harbor, Maryland.
