Ultra Maritime is bringing next-gen undersea capabilities to AFCEA WEST 2026, a key US naval and defense expo that highlights the latest innovations in maritime technology.
The company is highlighting solutions for anti-submarine warfare and unmanned operations, including innovative sonar, sonobuoys, and radar systems.
Sea Spear: A Compact Sonar
Sea Spear is a lightweight sonar system designed for rapid, cost-effective submarine detection and long-range underwater monitoring.

It can be deployed from both manned and unmanned surface or underwater platforms, unfolding into a wide-aperture array for enhanced detection.
Currently in testing, Sea Spear is expected to operate alongside Anduril’s Seabed Sentry to provide real-time undersea intelligence.
Sea Tracker: Modular Submarine Detection
For surveillance, Ultra Maritime is presenting Sea Tracker, a modular system that helps navies detect, classify, and track submarines from manned or unmanned surface vessels.

Its towed array system fits within a standard shipping container, allowing anti-submarine and torpedo defense capabilities to be deployed from surface vessels as needed.
Next-Gen Sonobuoys
The company is also introducing next-gen sonobuoys aimed at improving reliability and effectiveness in locating hostile submarines.
They come with enhanced battery technology that extends the operational lifespan of active units, allowing them to remain on station for longer periods.

Cutting-Edge Radar
Ultra Maritime will showcase radar platforms based on its Next Generation Surface Search Radar, with models as compact as 18 inches (46 centimeters) in diameter for unmanned platforms.
These systems reportedly support autonomous navigation across a wide range of maritime conditions.
The AFCEA WEST 2026 will take place in San Diego, California, from February 10 to 12, 2026.
