Turkish troops can now blast through dangerous minefields with confidence, thanks to the ALPAY mine-clearing system developed by state-owned Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE).

Built using domestic resources, the platform combines speed, reliability, and operational efficiency to transform hazardous fields into cleared corridors for immediate troop advancement.

It can be mounted on trailers for easy transport by armored carriers, tanks, or military trucks, and uses a rocket that can launch up to 200 meters (656 feet).

ALPAY can detonate 400 kilograms (880 pounds) of military-grade explosives to neutralize mines buried up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) below the surface.

It can also reportedly clear a corridor roughly 10 meters (33 feet) wide and 100 meters (328 feet) long with 99 percent reliability.

“The MKE ALPAY Mine Clearing Line Charge System was developed with 100 percent advanced MKE capabilities to ensure that motorized units can safely advance toward their designated areas,” the company stated.

“Designed to guarantee that every step soldiers take is secure, it enables them to move forward with confidence.”

Clearing the Frontlines

The system can be set up by two personnel in just 15 minutes and operate in all weather conditions.

It has already been sent to border areas, actively helping troops navigate minefields safely.

Its combination of speed, effectiveness, and adaptability also positions it as a potential export solution for other militaries facing mine threats.
