Rheinmetall UK and Mercedes-Benz have added two light tactical vehicles to their Wolf Pack lineup, expanding their proposed mobility options for the British Army.
The “Timber Wolf” and “Silver Wolf” join the existing Shadow Wolf and Caracal. All four draw on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class W464 platform, giving them a common foundation for different military roles.
Shared systems and interfaces are intended to make the vehicles easier to train on, maintain, and upgrade.
Across the lineup, Rheinmetall is pitching the vehicles for command, casualty evacuation, troop transport, logistics, and other specialist missions.
“The unveiling… is an exciting next step for Team Wolf and demonstrates that the Wolf Pack is about much more than individual vehicles,” said Rebecca Richards, managing director of Rheinmetall UK.
“We are bringing forward a complete family of tactical mobility solutions designed around commonality, operational readiness and the ability to evolve as the British Army’s requirements change.”
The Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf made their public debut at Defence Vehicle Dynamics 2026 in Millbrook, UK, on September 16-17.
Built Around UK Support
Rheinmetall plans to engineer, integrate, support, and upgrade the Wolf Pack at Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land in Telford. That would give the proposed vehicles a UK base for mission systems work and long-term support.
The company is targeting up to 50 percent UK content and plans to work with 30 British suppliers, including small and medium-sized firms.
It said the effort could support hundreds of jobs and build the domestic capacity to maintain and adapt the vehicles over time.
