ESC BAZ has presented sensor-equipped patrol and assault vehicles to the Israel Defense Forces’ 96th Division, pitching them as mobile intelligence hubs for reconnaissance, security, and first-response missions.
The vehicles combine surveillance and detection equipment to give crews a real-time view of their surroundings.
During the demonstration, the company also fitted the vehicles with SMARTSHOOTER counter-drone technology.
The setup connects sensors, surveillance systems, and weapons so they can share information. It also sends operational data to a central command center, giving personnel a common picture to support faster decisions.

SMARTSHOOTER’s Counter-Drone Toolkit
ESC BAZ did not specify which SMARTSHOOTER system was fitted to the vehicles. Among the company’s counter-drone products is SMASH 3000, a targeting system designed to improve hit probability against drones.
It uses image processing and machine learning to track stationary and moving targets by day or night.
A recent update also introduced an interface that gives operators finer control over settings and engagement parameters.
According to the company, the technology is designed to help maintain shot accuracy despite operator fatigue, stress, or target movement.
