German forces could soon move past mission-planning bureaucracy with a new system that offers a unified operational picture across domains, helping commanders not only see what is happening now but also anticipate changes before they occur.
Aerodata AG’s Prometheon system pulls data from multiple sensors and subsystems to provide real-time oversight across all phases of an operation, from planning to post-mission analysis.
It is designed to make military intel easier to understand, summarizing and organizing relevant data to avoid information overload while improving decision-making for commanders.

The system is also built to handle information across every operational domain — land, sea, air, space, and cyber — and to maintain functionality under unforeseen challenges.
“Prometheon creates the basis for cross-domain situational awareness in real time and strengthens information sovereignty in security-critical operational scenarios,” Aerodata Chief Executive Officer Neset Tükenmez said.
“This enables us to address the key requirements of state-of-the-art surveillance and reconnaissance operations.”
Predicting What’s Next
Aerodata said Prometheon’s additional AI features can detect patterns and predict future developments, helping forces anticipate battlefield changes before they happen.
This capability gives operators an edge in surveillance and reconnaissance and allows them to act on relevant developments in real time.
The company confirmed Prometheon has been delivered to defense partners and deployed on undisclosed ISR missions as of last year.
“As a distributed system of interconnected, self-sufficient subsystems, our solution ensures robust communication and information distribution in real-time,” Aerodata added.
