Ukrainian frontline troops have reported a remarkable achievement of the country’s next-gen Inguar-3 armored vehicle: shrugging off three direct drone strikes in quick succession.
Soldiers aboard the Inguar-3 said the vehicle stayed intact despite the successive strikes, allowing them to walk away uninjured. However, they did not say when the attacks were carried out.
The vehicle’s manufacturer, Inguar Defence, owes the platform’s sturdiness to its combat-focused design, forgoing commercial features to maximize survivability in war zones.
The Kyiv-based firm also removed flammable parts such as fabric trims, rubber flooring, and plastic components, giving the Inguar-3 the ability to withstand multiple coordinated strikes.
Already in service with Ukraine’s National Guard, the armored vehicle has previously endured a first-person view drone attack, successfully evacuating its crew even as its exterior caught fire.
‘On Guard for Freedom’
The Inguar-3 is built for versatility, available in 4×4 and 6×6 variants.
The 4×4 version can serve as medical and combat support, while the 6×6 build can carry rocket launchers, including a multiple launch rocket system.
Both variants are powered by a turbocharged diesel engine with automatic transmission and feature independent suspension for stability across uneven terrain.
With NATO-standard protection against 7.56mm artillery, grenade, and mine blasts, the Inguar-3 is engineered to safeguard special forces in high-risk environments.
“Whether deployed for escort, reconnaissance missions or rapid response operations, the Inguar-3 delivers unwavering performance and reliability, making it an invaluable asset on the battlefield,” Inguar Defence stated on its website.
