Collins Aerospace has shown that a small card is all it takes to power systems with next-generation anti-jamming capability.

The RTX business unit recently demonstrated its anti-jam Assured Positioning Navigation and Timing (APNT) system, providing resilient navigation in a compact form.

The tech combines military-code GPS with a suite of sensors to keep ground-based systems connected, even when GPS signals are unreliable or denied.

“Our card provides highly precise navigation in contested environments, and a scalable, cost-effective solution that is ready now for integration on a variety of platforms,” Collins Aerospace Mission Critical Products Vice President Sandy Brown said.

“The smaller form factor allows for faster mission customization and improved situational awareness.”

The APNT card was part of the US Army’s All-Domain Persistent Experiment, aimed at testing new technologies in challenging electromagnetic environments.

Big Power, Compact Package

Collins described the APNT system as its smallest ground solution yet, packing advanced jamming defense capabilities in a portable, compact package.

It reportedly complies with the US Army’s Compact Modular Open Systems Standards, fitting into the standardized CMFF (Mounted Form Factor) slot.

Paired with an external antenna, it is designed to maintain reliable performance in tough operational settings.

The APNT card can be mounted on a range of military vehicles, including ground robotic and autonomous platforms.
