Ukrainian developer DevDroid is introducing a new unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) called Jericho, which it says can transport up to 500 kilograms (1,102 pounds) of cargo over a distance of 40 kilometers (25 miles).

Official images show the six-wheeled vehicle featuring a flatbed enclosed by a protective metal structure.

Jericho can reach speeds of up to 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) per hour and supports six types of communication channels, including LTE, Starlink, and mesh networking.

The UGV also integrates DevDroid’s Droid Box control system, allowing operators to control the vehicle using a tablet or gamepad.

“Combining a mobile platform with a flexible control system expands the range of applications for ground robotic systems in logistics operations,’ DevDroid stated, as quoted by Mezha Defense.

Jericho has already been codified and approved for operational use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Expanding DevDroid’s UGV Portfolio

Jericho joins DevDroid’s portfolio of ground robotic systems, adding a dedicated logistics platform for transporting supplies and equipment.

The vehicle could potentially operate alongside the company’s Droid NW 40, a reconnaissance and ground-strike UGV equipped with a grenade launcher.

In such a configuration, frontline forces could use the Droid NW 40 to provide covering fire while Jericho transports tactical supplies or evacuates wounded personnel.

This would allow the two systems to support complementary roles in frontline operations.
