New York-based Dataminr is leveling up its approach to real-time intelligence by giving agentic AI access to over 1 million public data sources for fast, accurate alerting.
The “First Alert Advanced” system is designed to synthesize large volumes of images, videos, and audio on its own, ensuring data is verified even as a monitored situation changes.
It centers around four main AI-powered intelligence capabilities, which include the company’s own AI agents searching the internet to find additional context that confirms or builds on an event as it happens.
Then, the system works to update a summary of developments and how they could potentially impact a user’s organization.
First Alert Advanced also automatically finds historical information from Dataminr’s own archives spanning over 10 years of updates, helping explain how a current development connects to past events.
Based on those records, the system can then forecast how an event can develop over the following hours, drawing on patterns and similarities from the company’s archives.
An AI Backbone
First Alert Advanced comes with an additional set of AI-based features that complement the system’s functionalities in browser-based, mobile, and application interfaces.
Its AI can learn what matters most for an organization and helps create a priority watchlist to ensure users receive real-time intelligence updates as operations evolve.
The system can also generate reports tailored to pre-determined events, producing more specific alerts to particular locations or situations a user is tracking.

$318-Million Contract
The company announced it received a 5-year contract with the US Department of Defense worth over $318 million.
The partnership aims to improve the situational awareness, force protection, and warnings on global events for the US Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Space Force, and other combatant units.
