Ukraine has brought its RAM-2X into the open, revealing an AI-enabled strike drone tested against more than 450 combat targets.
Developed by Ukrspecsystems, the X-wing-shaped unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can strike targets up to 180 kilometers (112 miles) away.
The drone can remain airborne for more than two hours while carrying a 3.5-kilogram (7.7-pound) warhead.
RAM-2X can use different AI assistant models to improve mission efficiency and communicate through multiple radio bands or SpaceX’s Starlink network.
It can also operate with the SHARK-M reconnaissance UAV, which acts as a communications repeater, provides target designation, and helps the strike drone overcome enemy electronic warfare.
“Adhering to the principle of an integrated approach, we develop strike systems in several subclasses at once, built on unified nodes, a common ground station, and a single software,” company representatives told Mezha Defense.
Combat Record Goes Public
Footage of RAM drones in combat has circulated on social media, but Ukrspecsystems withheld its connection to the systems because of wartime security restrictions.
After publicly presenting the RAM-2X at the MSPO defense exhibition in Poland, the company created an “X-archive” containing footage of the drone in action.
The first batch focuses on strikes against Russian air defense systems, with the Ukrainian military assisting in the release of the videos.
“The defeat of an air defense system or radar shows the main thing: the system’s ability to overcome electronic warfare, enemy defenses, and operate far behind the line of combat contact,” company representatives said.
