VisionWave Holdings is putting its AI-powered radar system to the test in the UAE, where a live-fire demo will simulate fast, low-flying aerial threats in battlefield conditions.

The California-based firm will team up with a government-owned defense company in Abu Dhabi to evaluate its “super-resolution” radar, a core part of its advanced sensing suite for Active Protection Systems (APS).

The radar was selected for the high-profile trial after going head-to-head with other leading radar technologies.

“This trial represents far more than a technical validation, it’s a defining milestone for VisionWave,” said Noam Kenig, CEO of VisionWave. “Our system is engineered to detect, classify, and track high-speed threats with real-time precision.”

Designed to detect, classify, and track high-speed targets with precision, the radar will be tested for its role in enabling early countermeasures as part of a layered defense network.

$50M to Scale Up

The trial comes as VisionWave secured up to $50 million in new funding, including an initial $5 million commitment.

The capital is expected to fast-track product development, expand international  operations, and support larger defense programs across the US, UAE, and allied nations.

With demand growing for real-time threat sensing on the battlefield, the demo is seen as VisionWave’s key step in pushing AI-driven radar into operational settings.
