India has found a cutting-edge reinforcement in its fight against border drone incursions with the country’s first-ever Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV) built around a 4×4 platform.
The Indrajaal Ranger is an AI-powered combat vehicle loaded with sensors to keep up with a wide variety of airborne threats.
Its “brain,” the company’s SkyOS, blends sensor data into a single AI core, enabling nonstop target detection and cueing interceptors “within seconds.”

The Ranger packs both soft- and hard-kill options. A GNSS spoofer can hijack drones remotely, while its Zombee interceptor drone provides a kinetic strike capability.
Together, the sensors and weapons deliver a 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) detection range and a combat radius exceeding 4 kilometers (2.5 miles).
“India’s youth deserve a safer nation, free from the shadow of international crime networks,” said Lieutenant General Devendra Pratap Pandey, as quoted by Hans India.

Built for all-terrain, day-and-night operations, the Ranger ADPV is meant to fill critical gaps in India’s counter-drone defenses.

Indrajaal said it could intercept drones smuggling narcotics across borders or protect military convoys in high-risk areas.
The vehicle can also guard important border assets like ammo depots and helipads, reacting within minutes of a drone incursion to shield troops.
“Every drone we stop saves Indian lives. Our primary mission is to protect our airspaces, safeguard our people, and ensure India never depends on others for its security,” said Indrajaal Founder Kiran Raju.
