L3Harris has introduced Red Wolf and Green Wolf, a new pair of aerial munitions built for swarming operations, electronic attack, and long-range precision strikes.

The two munitions play complementary roles. Red Wolf delivers kinetic effects at extended range, while Green Wolf takes on signal detection, jamming, and decoy missions.

Both are modular and networked, with some variants designed to be recovered, reused, and reconfigured.

Together known as the “Wolf Pack,” the duo can be launched from air, land, or sea platforms. They have also successfully logged over 40 test flights, with more trials planned this year.

L3Harris is now in low-rate initial production and expects to begin deliveries by the end of 2025.

US Marine Corps in the Loop

Red Wolf and Green Wolf are being positioned for the US Marine Corps’ Precision Attack Strike Missile program, which seeks extended-range strike capabilities for the AH-1Z Vipers across the Indo-Pacific theater.

With the per-unit cost reportedly ranging from $300,000 to $500,000, the munitions could offer a lower-cost alternative to traditional cruise missiles, making them more suitable for massed use in contested environments.

L3Harris said the system exceeds current program objectives but declined to identify other customers or integration platforms.

“Our launched effects ‘Wolf Pack’ provides US military branches, regardless of platform, with a significant advantage in closing long-range kill chains, defeating adversarial threats in challenging environments, and protecting assets,” said Ed Zoiss, President of Space and Airborne Systems at L3Harris.

“The Red Wolf and Green Wolf are lethal, modular, affordable, and ready to hunt.”
