L3Harris has introduced new software with a single-user interface to control multiple autonomous assets simultaneously.

Designed for the US military, the system has been dubbed the Autonomous Multi-Domain Operations Resiliency Platform for Heterogeneous Unmanned Swarms (AMORPHOUS) and operates through a command-and-control interface.

It features open architecture to manage various uncrewed platforms, payloads, and systems.

During government-run tests, AMORPHOUS demonstrated flexibility and interoperability, controlling multiple assets across different vehicle types and domains.

“Autonomy is a force multiplier, which is why we have designed AMORPHOUS as a multi-domain, multi-mission capability that rapidly integrates a variety of uncrewed systems across the battlespace,” said Jon Rambeau, Integrated Mission Systems President at L3Harris.

AMORPHOUS enables decentralized decision-making, allowing uncrewed assets to operate independently and make real-time tactical decisions within the network.

It supports missions across air, land, sea, and space, enabling operations such as search and rescue, intelligence gathering, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and precision strikes.

AMORPHOUS provides tools for swarm command, mission oversight, and situational awareness.

It can autonomously manage and coordinate hundreds or even thousands of unmanned platforms simultaneously, according to L3Harris.
