Estonia-based defense tech firm Vegvisir is heading to Eurosatory 2026 with new systems designed to improve communications and situational awareness in contested environments.

Communications Module

At the core of the offering is a communications module designed to allow military platforms to automatically switch between available networks without operator input.

It reportedly manages and prioritizes multiple communication channels, including 5G, 4G, Starlink, MANET mesh radios, and fibre-optic links.

The system uses dual modems with seamless switching across parallel connections spanning local area networks, wide area networks, and fibre-optic pathways.

It also features omnidirectional antennas, water and dust protection, and fibre-optic communications intended to support radio-frequency silent operations in electronic warfare environments.

Virtual Command Station

Alongside the communications module, the company is introducing an enhanced Virtual Command Station designed to provide a unified view across multiple domains.

Originally developed for manned and unmanned ground systems, the platform can now be integrated with air, maritime, and underwater assets.

It allows commanders to access live feeds, maps, and mission data from multiple platforms within a single operational environment.

The system is also designed to improve manned-unmanned teaming, reduce operator workload, and enhance visibility into asset positioning and mission contribution.

“As armed forces adopt growing numbers of drones, unmanned ground vehicles and autonomous maritime systems, one of the biggest challenges is making manned and unmanned assets work together effectively,” said Ingvar Pärnamäe, co-founder and CEO of Vegvisir.
