Diehl Defence has given its Kinetic Defence Vehicle (KDV) a next-gen makeover, integrating multiple cutting-edge components into a single counter-drone system.
Now called GARMR, the platform features a new artificial intelligence “brain” that transforms how it detects, classifies, and prioritizes airborne threats.
Advanced algorithms process sensor data in real time, enabling operators to make faster, more informed decisions.

GARMR’s sensors can track various drones, from small multicopters to larger military unmanned aerial vehicles such as Shahed- and Lancet-type loitering munitions.
Its identification modules and interceptors complete the kill chain, ensuring threats are efficiently monitored, targeted, and neutralized.
Configurable for Any Threat
Designed as a modular platform, GARMR supports a wide range of missions, from safeguarding critical civilian infrastructure to operating in high-intensity combat environments.
Its adaptability comes from two parallel interceptor-drone configurations tailored to different engagement ranges.

The Short Range System (SRS) deploys the CICADA interceptor equipped with capture nets or warheads, while the Medium Range System (MRS) uses additional interceptors to engage targets at greater distances.
Operators can also integrate additional effectors across both configurations, allowing the system to adjust to changing threats and mission demands.
