BAE Systems is betting big on speed and autonomy in cyberspace with Velhawk, a new security framework built to outpace modern cyber threats.

Drawing on decades of cyber operations experience and zero-trust design, Velhawk gives operators a unified architecture at a time when digital pressure is rising.

It blends AI, automation, and adaptive analytics to streamline detection, decision-making, and remediation inside a single ecosystem.

By consolidating core cyber functions, the framework aims to cut complexity, strengthen security, and keep mission operations moving even as the attack surface grows.

“Our customers are operating in an era where the attack surface is expanding faster than the workforce can grow,” said Peder Jungck, Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer for the Intelligence & Security sector at BAE Systems.

“Velhawk gives them the advantage they need now — a way to automate defense, outpace threats, and elevate human expertise through autonomy and AI. It’s not just about reacting faster, it’s about predicting what comes next.”

Faster Response, Leaner Teams

Velhawk uses automation to speed up incident response and ease pressure on cyber teams already facing a surge in threat volume.

By offloading routine detection and remediation tasks, it frees specialists to focus on higher-impact work.

BAE Systems frames Velhawk as the next evolution of its cybersecurity portfolio, combining threat intelligence, secure data management, and rapid-response capabilities.

The platform reflects the company’s push to deliver mission-ready, future-focused tools designed for the “future fight.”
