Turkish defense firm Aselsan has unveiled a new lineup of tactical systems at the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) in Istanbul, aiming to bridge critical gaps in modern threat defense.
The new solutions span counter-drone operations, electronic warfare, battlefield communications, precision strike, and low-altitude air defense.
Taking Aim at the Skies
Leading the charge is KORAL 200, a mobile radar system that combines electronic support and attack capabilities in a single, rapidly-deployable platform. It can operate independently or as part of a larger networked force.
EJDERHA takes a more surgical approach, countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) by targeting their inner circuits with focused attacks. It is optimized for disrupting mini and micro-UAVs without interfering with friendly systems.

For short-range threats, GURZ brings a hybrid defense solution that uses both guns and missiles to intercept low-flying targets. It is supported by Aselsan’s AI-enabled command centers, enabling both autonomous and remote operation.
Aselsan’s aerial threat solutions made their debut in Istanbul at the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025).
From Skies to the Ground
On the land systems front, Aselsan introduced GOKTAN, designed to deliver long-range firepower with 360-degree strike capability and multi-target engagement, regardless of weather conditions.
TURAN, meanwhile, focuses on secure communication. Built for mobile operations, it reportedly boosts connectivity in challenging environments and features enhanced encryption.

“Our newly introduced systems provide powerful solutions that enhance operational superiority in electronic warfare, communications, precision strikes, and counter-drone defense,” said Aselsan President Ahmet Akyol.
“Our company remains committed to developing innovative systems that shape the future of defense and addressing the requirements of our allies worldwide.”
