Patria is taking mobile firepower a step further, showcasing its NEMO mortar system executing simultaneous-impact strikes for the first time while on the move.
During recent trials, NEMO used a new fire control software to perform Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) and Multiple Targets Simultaneous Impact (MTSI) firing modes.
MRSI involves firing several rounds in rapid succession along different trajectories so they converge on the same target almost simultaneously.

The aim is to create a concentrated strike effect, overwhelming the target before it has time to react or seek cover.
MTSI applies a similar timing concept but distributes fire across multiple distinct targets within a single, tightly coordinated firing window.
In both modes, NEMO can fire up to five rounds and automatically sequence impacts into circular, rectangular, or linear patterns — even while the platform is in motion.
NEMO at Glance
NEMO is a turreted 120mm mortar system that can be remotely operated and features a modular design that enables flexible configuration and future upgrades.
It supports integration across a range of platforms, including 8×8 infantry fighting vehicles, tracked armored vehicles, and 6×6 armored personnel carriers.

The system weighs 1,900 kilograms (4,189 pounds) and offers an elevation range from -3° to 85°, with full 360-degree traverse.
It is fitted with a 120mm smoothbore barrel measuring 3,000 millimeter in length and uses an automatic loading system.
