California-based Aitech is advancing battlefield computing with new single-board computers (SBCs) built to improve tactical decision-making where every millisecond matters.
The U-C8600 and U-C8601 combine different types of computing power to enable faster analysis and response at the edge.
Built on Intel’s 14th Core Ultra technology, both devices reportedly offer high-speed data connectivity, efficient power use, and stable performance in demanding field conditions.

With this architecture, the SBCs are intended to support AI and machine learning tasks across multiple mission domains, including ground and airborne operations.
“Aitech is providing defense contractors and platform integrators with cutting-edge computing solutions needed to deliver intelligent, networked systems that keep them adaptable, innovative, and ready for the challenges ahead,” said Boris Baer, chief technology officer of Aitech.
“These next-gen ruggedized SBCs combine high-performance computing with integrated AI and data processing acceleration, high-speed on-board connectivity, and networking capabilities to turn data into real-time intelligence.”
Two Systems, Distinct Mission Roles
The two models are tailored for different mission needs.
The U-C8600 is optimized for handling large data flows and connections, while the U-C8601 is focused on compute-extensive processing tasks.

Both support the Sensor Open Systems Architecture standard and are designed with size, weight, and power constraints in mind.
To manage the demands of modern battlefield data flows, the systems use high-speed transfer protocols that enable rapid movement of intelligence across networks.
The platforms are now available for military and aerospace mission integration.
