Turkey is introducing a new deterrent for hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs): a remotely controlled weapon system (RCWS) reportedly capable of unleashing 3,000 rounds per minute.
The Trakon Lite 134 pairs an AI-enabled target tracking suite with an M134 multi-barrel machine gun built to NATO standards, positioning it as a compact, hard-kill option against fast-moving UAVs.
Developed by Turkish firm Unirobotics, the RCWS integrates Echodyne’s EchoGuard radar for automatic detection and tracking of multiple aerial targets across a wide area.
Once threats are identified, its fire control system calculates engagement timing and guides precision fire against them.

Designed with mobility in mind, Trakon Lite 134 features a lightweight build suited for mounting on vehicles or robotic platforms without excessive payload strain.
Unirobotics said the system has completed qualification testing and is cleared for operational deployment.
Protecting Homeland
Turkey has reported a rise in drone incursions in recent months, describing them as potential “spillovers” from Russian attacks in Ukraine.
In December 2025 alone, authorities confirmed that three drones of unknown origin crashed across the country’s northwest provinces within a five-day span.
Unirobotics positions Trakon Lite 134 as a direct solution to such incidents, offering rapid detection and kinetic engagement of aerial threats.
“Trakon Lite 134 sets a new standard for lightweight, radar-integrated hard-kill [counter-UAV] systems,” the company stated.
