AM General is showcasing its latest light tactical vehicles at the DSEI 2025 defense expo in London, featuring major upgrades in protection, survivability, and ease of maintenance.
Its new generation of Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, dubbed JLTV A2, will bring more than 200 improvements over the previous model, including enhanced corrosion protection and reduced interior and exterior noise.
It now also sports a simplified electrical architecture for easier access and maintenance.
Another vehicle, the HUMVEE Saber, will emphasize crew survivability with a patented cabin design. It reportedly provides 360-degree protection against kinetic energy threats, blast resistance, and improved ride quality across challenging terrain.

Both vehicles build on AM General’s legacy HUMVEE line, which continues to serve in numerous armed forces worldwide.
From DSEI to UK’s Land Mobility Programme
AM General is positioning its vehicles for potential participation in the UK’s upcoming Land Mobility Programme.
Initiated by the Ministry of Defence, the program aims to modernize and standardize the British Army’s fleet of tactical vehicles to enhance mobility, protection, and operational readiness.
In October, the company plans to demonstrate the JLTV A2, HUMVEE Saber, and legacy HUMVEE trucks to highlight their capabilities for the program.
“We are extremely excited to attend DSEI this year as we announce our intent to participate in the UK’s LMP solicitation,” said Jim Cannon, AM General President and CEO.
“We have the extraordinary opportunity to showcase our robust mobility portfolio and convey how AM General can support the UK’s defense readiness and operational safety for their troops.”
The company said its approach will focus on building long-term industrial, operational, and capability partnerships with UK defense contractors to position itself as a strong contender in the program.
