UK-based engineering company Evolve Dynamics has introduced two small uncrewed aerial systems designed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) in challenging environments.
Named Foxe and Wolfe, these compact drones are built for durability and ease of use, enabling even non-specialist personnel to launch them within 90 seconds with minimal training.
Designed for simplicity, both drones feature easy-to-replace parts so that operators can get them flying again quickly without waiting for backup.
Company CEO Tom Redman emphasized that the drones are developed with a deep understanding of defense needs, reflecting “our commitment to British innovation, rugged design, and exceptional performance in the most demanding conditions.”
The Foxe and Wolfe were showcased at a Victory in Europe Day event honoring military veterans from the Royal British Legion.
Foxe: For Short-Range Recon
Despite weighing under 250 grams (0.55 pounds), the Foxe drone can remain steady in harsh environments, withstanding strong winds, rain, and coastal weather.

It can endure extreme temperatures ranging from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius (-4 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit) and is built to resist electronic warfare attacks.
The Foxe can stay airborne for up to 35 minutes, providing persistent surveillance even in contested airspace.
Wolfe: Extended Endurance
At just under 4 kilograms (8 pounds), the Wolfe is designed for longer-range missions in demanding environments.
With a low acoustic signature, high-definition camera, and onboard artificial intelligence, it can fly and identify objects of interest from safe distances while staying hidden.
Even without GPS, the Wolfe stays on course using its vision and inertial systems, allowing it to continue operating autonomously and evading threats.

Unlike the lighter Foxe, Wolfe can fly for up to 60 minutes on a single charge, even in sustained winds of 20 meters per second (45 miles per hour), rain, dust, and salty coastal air.
For continuous operations, it features hot-swappable batteries and can also be connected to the Infinity Tether for multi-day missions.
