Bringing large formations of autonomous aircraft and ground vehicles under real-time coordinated control was the driving concept behind Dominion-X, a new AI-powered operating system from Elbit Systems’ FUSE.

The system lets autonomous platforms exchange mission data and conduct distributed operations across the battlefield through a shared network.

It supports manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T), integrating autonomous platforms with maneuvering forces and crewed vehicles without requiring militaries to overhaul their existing formations or command structures.

Built for One2Many operations, Dominion-X can coordinate autonomous assets at scale in Global Navigation Satellite System-denied environments. It also incorporates automatic target recognition and homing capabilities.

“Military forces are entering a new operational era in which combat effectiveness will increasingly depend… on the ability to integrate and coordinate large numbers of autonomous systems within existing maneuver forces in real time,” said Eyal Dahan, chief executive officer of FUSE.

“FUSE was established to deliver that capability today — combining autonomous platforms, operational AI, and scalable One2Many command capabilities into integrated operational solutions that can be rapidly deployed and integrated into modern combat formations.”

Part of Broader Portfolio

Beyond Dominion-X, FUSE’s portfolio includes the X-intra, THOR, and Magni-X families of backpack-portable multirotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

It also features Pirani-X seek-and-strike swarm drones, unmanned ground vehicles, one-way attack drones, and autonomous air and ground systems designed to operate alongside armored formations.

According to Elbit, the systems are already deployed with customers in Israel, the US, and Europe.

“By integrating autonomous systems directly into frontline formations, FUSE helps military forces to increase operational tempo, expand combat mass, accelerate sensor-to-shooter cycles, and improve force survivability while reducing risk to personnel,” the company stated.
