Veteran-owned Defense Unicorns has introduced a capability that lets military commanders oversee deployed tactical assets in one unified control system.
Built within the company’s Unified Defense Stack (UDS) platform, the new UDS Fleet is designed to replace manual workflows with a centralized management suite for deployed systems.
It targets a longstanding challenge in defense operations: deploying and managing software across hundreds of military systems distributed at frontlines and contested environments.
The broader UDS ecosystem also includes UDS Enterprise, a separate tool for platform engineers and cybersecurity teams managing cloud and on-premise data center environments.
UDS Fleet and UDS Enterprise are designed to operate together, with Fleet enabling secure software updates to remote systems as military networks scale.
“The way defense software gets deployed and managed hasn’t kept pace with the speed of modern missions. UDS Fleet changes that at the edge,” Defense Unicorns CEO Dr. Rob Slaughter said.
“This is about giving the people who defend this nation the tools they need to move fast and win.”
Enhancing Fleet Management
The system streamlines software oversight through two core capabilities, including Fleet Connect, an interface that allows operators to access and manage software on individual systems directly.
Fleet Connect is available via Android and browser-based applications, with iOS support in development.
Fleet Command, meanwhile, provides a unified overview of all systems within a given environment, offering a single “bird’s-eye view” of deployed assets.
